Digital Automation Graduate Assistant - ITS (Sp 2026)

This Graduate Assistant position will begin at the start of Spring 2026 and is planned to continue through the next academic year. Preferred hire will have at least 3 semesters remaining in their Graduate program.

Responsibilities (1-3 sentences)

This position will support Information Technology Services and the Digital Automation Team to provide business analysis, technical analysis, process improvement, technical development, coordination and support throughout the digital automation lifecycle.

  • Providing an excellent point of contact for users seeking assistance with digital automation processes
  • Create, modify and test digital forms and workflows utilizing current digital automation platform
  • Performing troubleshooting on workflows and digital forms
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures, workflows and digital forms
  • Escalating incidents to the appropriate ITS staff for further diagnostics
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in tickets
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team

 

Learning Outcomes for Student (3-5 outcomes)

  • Gain experience with application development process, utilizing and developing within a business process automation platform.
  • Reinforce and gain additional understanding of HTML, including responsive and accessible web applications.
  • Gain experience through interaction with customers during development and testing process.

Qualifications (Specific skills required)

  • Web application development experience with proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • General understanding of responsive and accessible web development standards.
  • General understanding of secure web application development processes and procedures.
  • General understanding of business processes or process improvement platforms.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and ability to diagnose and resolved basic technical issues, preferably within application development process.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
