SCSU Athletics Graduate Assistant - Marketing and Promotions
1. Position will report directly to the Associate Athletics Director of External Operations in an effort to enhance the fan experience, increase attendance, and fulfill sponsorship agreements among other responsibilities
2. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing, fan engagement, and event presentation plans for assigned sport programs
3. Oversight of departmental student engagement efforts, including but not limited to: operation of the student rewards program, creating and sending student emails, scheduling tabling opportunities, orientations, and developing and maintaining relationships with key campus organizations such as Admissions, Residential Life, Department of Campus Involvement, and Campus Recreation
4. Represent St. Cloud State Athletics at community outreach events to increase brand awareness, promote ticket sales and events
5. Coordinate social media campaigns and develop effective ways to communicate and engage our students and fans. This professional will have direct oversight of athletics social media outreach and external email marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing revenue, engagement, and brand awareness.
6. Oversee the hiring, training, and scheduling of work study students and manage athletic events on campus
7. Support of the graphic design needs of the department, including the creation and editing of templates, fliers, and other promotional materials
8. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director to elevate the department’s mission and goals
Qualifications:
Admission to a St. Cloud State University graduate program
General interest in athletics and the sport industry
Excellent oral communication skills, written communication skills, and customer service skills
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and time management skills
Ability to work nights and weekends
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
