SCSU Athletics Graduate Assistant - Compliance
Ability to learn and develop skills to support the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Administration in coordinating and administering day-to-day NCAA compliance duties. This position will track and monitor playing and practice seasons, academic progress, recruiting visits, and assist with NCAA reports.
Responsibilities:
Monitor NCAA playing and practice seasons for 2 DI teams and 15 DII teams through CARA logs.
Manage student-athlete records in NCAA Compliance applications and generate squad list and eligibility reports.
Assist with gathering information to submit NCAA waivers and certify incoming transfers.
Assist with academic tracking of 350 student-athletes to ensure NCAA progress towards degree metrics are being satisfied.
Collaborate with coaches and other members of the athletics staff.
Assist with supervising the Huskies Academic Center (resource and study center for student-athletes).
Assist in rules education throughout the academic year to students and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Preference: evening/weekend availability for potential event management responsibilities.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to multi-task, work with frequent interruptions.
Understanding of academic advising and how academic requirements impact NCAA eligibility.
Working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe.
Must be self-motivated, organized, punctual, and reliable.
Preference: knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations
Compensation:
This is a graduate assistant position, which includes a tuition waiver and stipend. If you are a full time St. Cloud State graduate student, you are eligible
