Academic Advisor - Full time Graduate Assistant

Responsibilities:

Advise business students on course selection (including liberal education and business core requirements), academic information including probation/suspension status; process students’ application to HBS Upper Division Status; meet with new prospective students; calculate GPA; assist with new transfer and international student advising days; act as an agent of the university to authorize course overrides and waivers; provide office support.

Skills Required:                               

Demonstrated basic math, computer, and problem-solving skills; ability to be patient and understanding in challenging situations; demonstrated ability to work independently; good understanding of the business undergraduate program; effective oral and written communication skills; organization skills; teamwork skills; ability to work with people of culturally diverse backgrounds. Preference is given to students in the following programs: College Counseling and Student Development, Higher Education Administration, Masters in Business Administration
