Salary

$10,560 Stipend and $10,039 maximum tuition remission

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with the OEA Staff to provide support, resources, services, and options to students, staff, and faculty
  • Assist professional staff with updates and documentation, data entry in case management program Maxient, and assist with the hiring process 
  • Support student retention efforts by facilitating proper compliance-related trainings, programming, and additional services
  • Support the offices’ Institutional priorities, including MN State System efforts, by assisting with MN State Equity 2023 initiatives, relative committees and teams, assisting with the management of Discrimination/Harassment cases
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and sign required waiver

Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree in a related field (criminal justice, gender and women’s studies, social sciences, social work, business administration, political science, education, management)
  • Fully admitted to a graduate degree program and eligible for employment, and maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate initiative and follow through
  • Demonstrated ability of strong organizational and program development skills
  • Good note taking skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with computer/technical proficiency (Maxient, D2L, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Prezi, social media, etc.)

Outcomes

  • Experience working with a team of professional employees
  • Hands on experience independently working with Title IX, Discrimination, Harassment, Bias Incidents, and other initiatives
  • Ability to apply what is learned while employed with the office into future work endeavors
