
Graduate Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Assist with CETL event planning and hosting at convocations and conferences
• Assist with the development of promotional literature for CETL
• Conduct literature searches and research on topics and programs related to the work of the Center
• Assist with event and program assessment through data collection and analysis
• Keep accurate records of events and initiatives to maintain and update the Center's
• web-site and event announcements
• Assist office manager with organizing and managing work study student projects or other duties as needed
• Answer phone calls and inquiries regarding CETL and sponsored events
• Work collaboratively with the Center Director, Office Manager, and Student Workers on assigned projects and events
• Develop and Maintain CETL D2L website modules.
Additional responsibilities for Doctoral Assistants:
• Assist Director in facilitating faculty workshops, orientation, seminars, and other tasks
• Assist Director in developing teaching and learning sessions for faculty/staff.
Essential Qualifications:
• Effectively mastered English language skills - spoken and written
• Willingness to take initiative to learn and work independently
Strong computer skills:
· Microsoft Office (Excel, Power-Point, Publisher, Office 365, Word)
· Outlook
· Microsoft Teams, SharePoint & OneDrive.
· Zoom & Adobe
· Qualtrics
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Web design, maintenance and Desktop Publishing
• Experience with event planning, promotion, writing, editing
• Prior experience in student and/or faculty services desired
• Experience and knowledge in applied research
• Graphic Design, Video Production & Editing Skills.
• Instructional Design & Online Course Development skills.
Preferred Academic Background:
Background in the information media, social sciences, higher education, student life and development preferred, but not required.
